Larry Montgomery Sr.Director of Sales & Marketing

Larry Montgomery has truly grown up with ETEX. With over 25 years of experience in telecommunications, his extensive knowledge is a testament to his unwavering commitment to bringing the best to East Texas. Larry’s journey with ETEX began in 1998 through the Gilmer High School VOE program. Since then, he has excelled in various roles, including Customer Service Representative, Central Office Technician, and Internet/Video Technician. Now, as the Director of Carrier Sales and Marketing, Larry leads a team of dedicated professionals in developing and implementing communication solutions that foster business growth and enhance the quality of communications for our partners. His attention to detail and focus on customer satisfaction make him an invaluable asset to the ETEX team.

A lifelong resident of Gilmer, Larry remains deeply connected to his community, serving as a school board member for Gilmer ISD. He and his wife Laurn have two children, Larry Jr. (Grace) and Addisyn, and two grandchildren, Kinsley Grace, and Kai. An avid runner, Larry is often seen training for races, from 5Ks to full marathons. He also enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, watching sports, and classic and modern cars.

Brittany MurraySales & Marketing

Brittany Murray has developed her skills at ETEX since 2011, gaining experience in both Customer Service and Plant/Engineering roles, which have equipped her with a strong understanding of ETEX’s service offerings. As a valuable member of the Sales and Marketing team, she acts as a trusted advisor to customers, assessing their communication needs and implementing cutting-edge technological solutions to achieve optimal outcomes. Brittany is dedicated to ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient service. Brittany has extensive experience overseeing a wide array of business accounts throughout East Texas. Her portfolio includes managing accounts for school districts, county offices, city offices, and medical facilities, among many others. Originally from the small town of Big Sandy, Brittany has embraced Gilmer as her home since 2008. Outside of work, Brittany, together with her husband Jason, raises their teenage son. They cherish family time together and you can often find them volunteering at local Civil Air Patrol events with their son, camping at a local state park or planning their next traveling adventure.

Kelvin MilesSales & Marketing

Kelvin has been involved in the telecommunications industry since 1997, bringing over two decades of experience to his role. Joining Etex on April 1st, 2010, Kelvin is an integral part of the ETEX Sales and Marketing Department. Over his tenure, he has honed a deep understanding of how to balance dedicated service, the application of complex technology, and maximizing return on investment.

Known for his commitment to providing timely and friendly service, Kelvin takes pride in fostering personal interactions with clients. His educational background includes graduating from Longview High School and Panola College, underscoring his dedication to both professional growth and community engagement.

Outside of work, Kelvin finds joy spending time with his family, coaching youth sports and actively participating in various community initiatives. His passion for volunteering means you might encounter his friendly face lending a hand in different local activities. Kelvin’s blend of professional expertise and community spirit makes him a valued member both at Etex and within the broader community.

Sheila JohnsonSales & Marketing

Sheila is a dynamic professional who has been with Etex since 2008. Her commitment to excellence shines through as she manages close to 400 active accounts across 11 counties, ensuring each receives her personalized attention and support. Sheila’s passion for helping others, problem-solving, and facilitating smooth business operations is unparalleled.

Clients consistently praise her professionalism and dedication. Chris Spencer highlighted Sheila’s exceptional support during a transition from Windstream to Etex, noting her unmatched expertise and ongoing troubleshooting assistance.

Beyond her professional achievements, Sheila has served on the Union Hill School Board and is actively involved with Murry League Baptist Church in Ore City. She excels in teaching liturgical dance, speaking at conferences, decorating weddings, and serving as a community leader. Dedicated to helping women who have experienced trauma achieve spiritual healing, Sheila is involved in a specialized program to support their recovery.

Sheila and her husband Rhonie are proud parents of two adult sons, one granddaughter, and two goddaughters.

Troy HoldenSales & Marketing

Since 2008, Troy has embarked on a dynamic career journey at ETEX, initially in Marketing and later transitioning to Sales. Over the past decade, Troy has honed expertise in technical support, blending it seamlessly with a flair for design and compelling messaging. Whether through graphic design, multimedia projects, or commercials, Troy’s work at ETEX has been dedicated to enhancing customer understanding of technology and its transformative impact on communication, education, information, and entertainment access.
Outside of crafting ETEX’s marketing strategies and materials, Troy is deeply engaged in community events and initiatives.

Somer PuttSales & Marketing

Somer Putt joined the ETEX team in 2005, where she has continuously honed her skills across Customer Service, Product Development, and most recently, Sales and Marketing. She approaches the challenge of aligning customer needs with effective, cost-conscious solutions like solving a puzzle, finding immense satisfaction in the collaborative process. Somer’s dedication to this philosophy has consistently positioned her as a top-performing sales leader.

Outside of work, Somer cherishes time with her husband Christopher and their two children, engaging in various family activities. She also volunteers her organizational talents on Wednesday nights at Pathway Students and contributes to community and fundraising initiatives. While she enjoys traveling, Somer’s heart remains firmly rooted in East Texas.

Brett FraseSales & Marketing

Brett’s journey with Etex Communications began in 2018 when he joined as a Customer Service Representative. With recognized talent and potential, Brett transitioned to Sales and Marketing, where he has continued to excel.

With a solid foundation in customer service, Brett adeptly communicates the value of products and services to potential customers. His responsibilities include meeting with businesses to determine needs, offering practical solutions, and collaborating with various departments to ensure smooth installation and troubleshooting processes.

Brett’s clientele spans across ten East Texas counties, serving diverse industries from manufacturing to medical practices and everything in between.

Before his tenure at Etex Communications, Brett gained valuable experience as an Insurance Sales Agent, following a successful five-year career in the banking industry. He holds an associate degree from Tyler Junior College.

Brett, his wife, and daughter reside in Spring Hill, a charming area located just outside of Gilmer, Texas. In his leisure time, Brett indulges in golfing, cooking, watching sports, and maintaining an active lifestyle through regular workouts.

Ashley StansburySales & Marketing

Ashley joined ETEX in 2024 and currently serves as a Commercial Sales Assistant, overseeing the processing of service orders from inception to completion. In addition to her operational role, she actively contributes to strategic marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Raised in Gilmer, Texas, Ashley graduated from Gilmer High School and went on to earn an Associate’s degree in Business Management from Northeast Texas Community College, enriching her understanding of organizational dynamics and strategic planning.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Ashley finds joy in spending time with her husband, Cody, and their two children. She has a passion for baking and enthusiastically supports local community events through volunteering. Her commitment to excellence in her work and her community reflects her dedication to making a positive impact both at ETEX and within Gilmer.
