Larry Montgomery Sr.Director of Sales & Marketing
It would be fair to say that Larry Montgomery has grown up at ETEX. Larry’s extensive knowledge of telecommunications has come over a span of 20 years, fueled by his unwavering commitment to bring the best to East Texas. Larry began his work with ETEX through the Gilmer High School VOE program, back in 1998. He has served ETEX customers in various positions, including as a Customer Service Representative, a Central Office Technician and an Internet/Video Technician. Currently the Director of Sales and Marketing, Larry leads a team of telecommunications sales professionals in determining and deploying communications solutions to grow area businesses, improving the quality of communications for residents and sharing the benefits of ETEX services. His attention to detail and intense focus on customer satisfaction makes him an invaluable asset to the ETEX team.

Larry has been a lifelong resident of Gilmer, still calling the community home. He and his wife Laurn have two children in the Gilmer schools. A natural motivator, Larry’s spare time is often spent coaching. It’s likely you’ve seen him on the field at little league football, basketball and baseball games. He’s an avid sports fan, and loves spending time with his family, traveling and running. He recently completed his first half-marathon.
Brittany MurraySales & Marketing
Brittany Murray has honed her craft at ETEX since 2011. She’s spent time in both the Customer Service and Plant/Engineering arenas, giving her a solid foundation of the provision and delivery of ETEX services. As a member of the Sales and Marketing team, she serves as a resource for customers, evaluating communications needs and delivering effective solutions through the application of state-of-the-art technology. She combines efficiency with dedication to customer satisfaction.

Brittany and her husband Jason have one son. She is very active in the community and you are likely to see her volunteering at the Yamboree and Treats on the Square, as well as at the ETEX Annual Meeting and Customer Appreciation Days
Kelvin MilesSales & Marketing
A seven-year veteran of the ETEX Sales and Marketing Department, Kelvin has developed a keen sense of understanding the balance between dedicated service, the application of complex technology and return on investment. He prides himself on timely, friendly service and truly enjoys the personal interaction he has with clients.

Kelvin a graduate of Longview High School and Panola College. He enjoys coaching youth and being active in the community. You never know where you’ll see his friendly face volunteering in the area.
Sheila JohnsonSales & Marketing
A multi-tasker extraordinaire, Sheila manages over 150 clients in 4 counties. While some would find her task list daunting, Sheila is able to ensure each of her customer accounts receives her personal attention and commitment. She loves helping others, problem solving, and facilitating the smooth operation of business.

Her highly functional, multi-skill talent set gets a work out after hours as well. Sheila is a former member of the Union Hill School Board and is involved in the Murry League Baptist Church in Ore City. In addition to teaching dance, speaking at conferences, coordinating weddings and serving as a community leader, she also is a member of the ETEX Wellness Committee. She and her husband Rhonie are the proud parents to two adult sons.
Troy HoldenSales & Marketing
A 9-year veteran of ETEX, Troy’s skill set combines years of technical support knowledge and experience with an eye for design and messaging. If you haven’t met Troy in person at one of ETEX’s many public relations or community events, it’s likely you’ve seen his work in the form of graphic or multi-media design in ETEX marketing materials, websites or commercials. Troy specializes in helping ETEX customers understand the how’s and why’s of technology and its impact on their ability to access communication, education, information and entertainment.
When he’s not burning the midnight oil crafting ETEX marketing materials, you’ll find him working at community events in the area. Troy is also active in the Gilmer Rotary Club, serving as the treasurer.
Somer PuttSales & Marketing
Somer Putt joined the ETEX employee team 13 years ago, building her expertise through delivery of exemplary work in Customer Service, Product Development and most recently the Sales and Marketing Department. She views the process of matching customer wants and needs with effective, affordable solutions much like a puzzle. The result is very satisfying to all involved in putting it together. This philosophy has earned Somer the position of lead salesperson in 2015/2016.

Somer Putt has been great to work with and has helped us enhance the quality and quantity of our Internet Services we are able to provide to our Students and Staff. She really listens and puts the needs of her customers first. She is quick to respond and is attentive to detail.”
Somer and her husband Christopher have two children and spend much of their free time enjoying family activities. Somer also puts her organizational skills to work volunteering as a Little League Softball Coach, helping with the Relay for Life and other community and fundraising events. She enjoys traveling, but her heart always remains in East Texas.
Brett FraseSales & Marketing
Brett’s journey with Etex Communications began in November 2017 when he joined as a Customer Service Representative. With recognized talent and potential, Brett transitioned to Sales and Marketing in January 2019, where he has continued to excel.
With a strong foundation in customer service, Brett adeptly communicates the value of products and services to potential customers. His responsibilities include effectively selling new phone and internet packages to local businesses, collaborating with various departments to ensure smooth installation and troubleshooting processes, and addressing service-related issues for residential and LTE accounts in expansion areas. Brett’s clientele spans across three counties, serving diverse industries such as manufacturing, medical practices, restaurants, and retail stores.
Before his tenure at Etex Communications, Brett gained valuable experience as an Insurance Sales Agent for State Farm, following a successful five-year career in the banking industry. He holds an Associates Degree in General Studies from Tyler Junior College.
Brett and his wife, Brianna, reside in Spring Hill, a charming area located just outside of Gilmer, Texas. In his leisure time, Brett indulges in golfing, fishing, and maintaining an active lifestyle through regular workouts. Additionally, he actively contributes to his community as a devoted member of the Gilmer Lion’s Club.
