What You Didn't Know About Your Favorite Show

An American adaptation of the British situation comedy television series The Office. The Office is a mockumentary, or a documentary recording real life that is actually fictional. The show follows the lives of several Pennsylvania Paper & Supply co-workers, their tangled love lives and the random goings-on within the office.

  • The Office has a total of six adaptations of the series, starring an entirely different cast for each of the six including the following: Le Bureau (France), Stromberg (Germany), The Office (UK & US), La Job (Canada), La Ofis (Chile).
  • Although The Office is completely scripted, there is still room for improvisation. The kiss deposited on Oscar Martinez's (Oscar Nunez) head by Michael Scott (Steve Carrell) in the season premiere of the third season, was actually improvised. Jenna Fischer (aka Pam) said that their looks of shock were real, and they couldn't believe they held it together.

  • The release of 24 on DVD had a huge impact in England, as it became the number one seller, knocking Lord of the Rings out of it's first place. A first for any TV show DVD to overtake a feature DVD.

An award winning comedy-drama with plenty of slapstick, fast-paced humor to put a stitch in your side. • Since the show is aired worldwide, all instances of foreign languages have to be changed depending on the location. For instance, Elliot Reid's (Sarah Chalke) German is changed to Danish in the German version of the show. In the Spanish version, Carla Espinosa's (Judy Reyes) Spanish is changed to Italian.
  • The chest x-ray shown during the opening title was hung backwards for the first 5 seasons, a mistake on the director's part.
